EcoVolt Reactor

The EcoVolt Reactor, our award-winning flagship product, is the world’s first bioelectrically enhanced wastewater solution. This treatment system leverages electrically active microbes to extract resources like clean water and clean energy from wastewater.

Our proprietary internal architecture performs high-rate, bulk BOD removal (>85% removal) while producing high-quality biogas (>80% methane fraction). Through combined heat and power cogeneration, a typical installation will generate net 30-200 kW of power, cutting carbon footprints and turning an environmental liability into a revenue stream.

The EcoVolt Reactor is a containerized, modular, stackable, and prefabricated unit that allows for low-impact installation, rapid procurement, and simple capacity expansion. Designed to treat 15,000 to 40,000 gallons per day per Reactor, EcoVolt installations are controlled by a Headworks module, which can accommodate up to 6 Reactors.

EcoVolt Mini

Designed for smaller food and beverage producers with volumes as low as 3,000 gallons per day, the EcoVolt Mini is an all-in-one water reuse container. This system requires an ultra-low footprint and flexibly incorporates EcoVolt Reactor and/or EcoVolt MBR technology to achieved the desired removal.

The EcoVolt Mini is similarly prefabricated and road-shippable, cutting down on lead time and installation hassle. Perfect for budding breweries, wineries, and dairies, the Mini performs high-rate, total contaminant removal while producing high-quality biogas (>80% methane fraction). Biogas can be utilized in Stirling engines, facility boilers, or flared for heat recovery.

EcoVolt MBR

The EcoVolt MBR (membrane bioreactor) is designed specifically to serve the food and beverage industries. The containerized system leverages new aeration technology with proprietary automation in the most energy efficient design on the market to remove >99% of organics and solids.

The EcoVolt MBR seamlessly integrates with Cambrian’s EcoVolt Reactor controls architecture to provide fully powered treatment. It can be flexibly stacked to match facility capacity expansion and can be remotely managed.

For breweries, wineries, and other producers with a low concentration of organics in their wastewater, the EcoVolt MBR is a highly efficient stand-alone water treatment solution that cleans water for onsite reuse or sewer discharge. When coupled with the bioelectrically enhanced EcoVolt Reactor, the net result is water reuse at a fraction of the energy demand of existing systems.

Under the WEPA, your wastewater becomes our problem: we’ll finance, design, build, and operate the system while returning valuable resources to you. You purchase these sustainable services at a discount to your current utility rates with an affordable monthly fee based on usage. We own and operate the system.
